How long does it take to shoot a virtual tour for Google Streetview Trusted?
I often get asked the question how long does it takes to shoot a virtual tour for Google Streetview Trusted.
It’s hard to say. If you have like a small cafe or a small coffee shop I could be ready in like twenty, thirty minutes or fortyfive minutes.
But if the venue becomes larger and larger, it will take more time to cover the required or areas you would like to be photographed.
For example if you have a small hotel with only a few types of rooms, I could start outside from the street to go into the reception, maybe to the restaurant and maybe shoot one or two rooms.
But if you have a large resort with different types of rooms, a recreation area, pool area or a midgetgolf area, fitness area etc. And if you want me to cover all those locations, it will take significantly more time. So then it could take up to a few hours.
To give you an idea: recently I shot a virtual tour here in The Netherlands in a large shopping centre and the shop was like seven thousand square metres.
I had to shoot all differents types of points and a lot of points. I ended up shooting like six thousand something photos, which needed to be stitched. And you can imagine that was a huge project: it took me eight hours to complete!
So it just depends on the size of the venue I have to shoot. But in general if you have like a hotel or a resort, I would count like four or five hours if it’s large and may be two to three hours if it’s a little bit smaller.
I hope this clarifies the question about how long it would take to shoot a virtual tour a little bit.
